Autofill in Excel

The Auto-fill method is a way of creating a long array of numbers without having to type them all. Imagine you are to create a record for over 200 student without auto-fill you would have to literally type 1-200+ by yourself but with auto-fill you are done in less than 30seconds tops. Auto-fill works only for Numbers and Formula. It works differently with text
Follow the steps below:

• Press number 1 in any of the cell



• Drag the cell from the right bottom corner that has a thick cross sign to the desired cell you want your number to stop



• At the last cell you will see a which is the auto fill option


• Click on the drop down menu and select Fill Series


You should have a result that fill from 1 – N Where N = the desired number you wished to stop.
